May 2011 - A Witches Brew

On mid-May we staged three one act plays with the common theme of witchcraft.

The first, Witches, was set in the 17th Century and demonstrated how the love of one man and the ensuing jealousy can result in disastrous consequences.

The second The 500th WAC, was a lighthearted look at the difficulties encountered in recruitment and finding a suitable candidate for sacrifice!

The third, After Midnight and Before Dawn, was a classic and used in schools. It questioned why people in the 17th Century were arrested for witch craft.

The production was a huge success and enjoyed by all of our audience.

November 2010 - Summer End

On three suitably freezing nights in November, Church Crookham Players performed Eric Chappell's clever and funny play about strange going's on at the Summer End care-home.

We also raised £100 for Help for Heroes.

May 2010 "Last of the Red Hot Lovers"

Barney Cashman, the owner of a successful seafood restaurant, is stuck in a mid-life crisis. His marriage is no longer providing him with a sense of romantic adventure and when he discovers his mother's flat is empty one day a week, he decides that a series of extra-marital affairs is just what he needs. However, Barney's career as a spoiler of women quickly proves to be laughably unsuccessful; he's able to lure three different women to his make-shift love nest but...  try as he might, he can't charm any of them and in the end, has to settle for his wife.
